Study Skills Tutor (SpLD)
Sue is an experienced study skills tutor/coach with passion to explore creative approaches to learning. Sue has over 10 years’ experience working in Higher Education with neurodiverse students, and disadvantaged learners from various communities with a range of disabilities.
Sue is a qualified SpLD Level 5 Specialist Tutor with PGCE and Qualified Teaching Status (QTS). She is a professional member of the Association of Dyslexia Specialists in Higher Education (ADSHE); Professional Association of Teachers and Students with Specific Learning Difficulties (PATOSS) and the Society for Education and Training (SET).
Working within the public, private and charitable field for over 20 years, Sue has developed many transferable skills which she currently embodies in her role as a Specialist Tutor/Coach. Her specific experience in building emotional and mental resilience, motivation, and time management skills, enhanced by her PG Management adds to the toolkit Sue can offer her students. Throughout the coaching process, Sue embodies an evolving culturally sensitive and inclusive approach.
